Hola!! It's been two weeks since I've sent out an Email, because i didn't have p-day last week, we went to the temple instead!!
There is so much to catch up on, because this have honestly been the busiest two weeks of my mission so far, but basically we've had 4-5 exchanges every week, we had MLC (mission leadership counsel), we had a STL dinner, and so much more!!
Last Tuesday my friend Andres got baptized!!!!! I'm so excited for him, and he already is an incredible member of the church, but it was such a bittersweet moment for me. He got baptized a week after I left the area, and I couldn't go to his baptism because we had an exchange that week, so I was so sad that I could be there for him at his baptism. But I'm learning that sometimes that's how the mission goes, and I'm so excited for him and the decision that he made to be baptized.
Exchanges have been really fun to get to know all of the other hermanas in my zone. We have a lot of hermanas in our zone, so we are constantly have exchanges with them, but I am honestly learning so much! It's so cool to be able to see how other missionaries do the work and learn from them. I'm also grateful for all of the friendships I have made here on the mission.
My first week in the area, I was told that this area doesn't work well with the members and that they don't give the missionaries much support. But three weeks in, I feel like it's already changing and I really love the members in our area. They are awesome and really willing to help us out!
We are teaching a lot of friends that are really awesome! This week we went a guy named Juan and his friend Cristian from Bolivia, and they are so cool. They are both super smart electrical engineers, and they seem pretty interested in learning more about the church!
Today we went to Arlington cemetery for a district activity, and it was really fun!! I'm so grateful to be serving in this mission, and sometimes I forget about all of the historical stuff around me lol.
