¿QuĂ© tal amigos?
This week was really busy. But it was great!!!
We had four exchanges with the other hermanas in our zone, so we were basically driving por todos lados the whole week.
-Tuesday we went to Occoquan and we had an exchange with the hermanas there. There was not many spanish speaking people where we went, but we talked to a lot of Muslims which was pretty cool.
- Wednesday night I got to go back to my old area and do an exchange. It was awesome to go back and be able to see my old friends in Alexandria and see how they're doing. I didn't get to see my recent convert Andres though, but I heard fromthe other hermanas that he is doing great and it going to go to the temple next week!!
- Thursday we visited some members, and we ate really yummy bologna sandwiches (just kidding they were gross). We also had a lesson with our friend Milton, and he has read up to 1 Nephi 7!! He's so cool. At night we visited a member who needs some support becuase she is getting divorced. She's shared her testimony with us about God's plan, she's so sweet.
- Friday we had another exchange for 24 hours, and I was with my old companion hermana Schiermeyer, and her comp hermana Cannon. We had a lesson with our friend Susan who is sooo cute. She wants to get baptized but isn't married yet, so she literally proposed to her boyfriend and they're going to get married in may!!
We then had a Noche de hogar at the church and we had 4 friends come. Liliana (who is going to get baptized on may 9th), Susan, Milton, and Jheyson (who almost got baptized in Bolivia) all came, and it was so fun! We got to know our amigos better and they got to know the ward members.
-Saturday we had another exchange in Potomac, I was feeling a little burnt out at this point but it was still really fun.
-Sunday was great, we had Liliana, Susan, and Jheyson come to church!! I was really sad because Milton stood us up, we're not really sure why he didn't come to church but I'm praying that we have more contact with him!! We drove around a lot that day because one of the elders in our ward lost his phone so we had to find it and bring it to him, but it was all worth it because in the end we had dinner with Hermana Columbier! What a great week.
I read this quote from President Russel M. Nelson recently and I wanted to share it with you,
"If everything and everyone else in the world whom you trust should fail, Jesus Christ and His Church will never fail you. The Lord never slumbers, nor does He sleep. He “is the same yesterday, today, and [tomorrow].” He will not forsake His covenants, His promises, or His love for His people. He works miracles today, and He will work miracles tomorrow. Faith in Jesus Christ is the greatest power available to us in this life. All things are possible to them that believe."
Faith can move mountains!! I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I have to grow and try my faith each and every day.
Please pray for my friends Liliana, Susan, Jheyson, and Milton!!
Love you all sooo much!!
<3 Hermana Crofts
