Week 47: Little River Ward, Annandale, VA

This week I hit 11 months on the mission! So fun!!

We had three more exchanges this week, which were great because I got to see my old comp and my old friends.

I got to see my friend Andres who got baptized two months ago, he is doing so good!! He has the biggest light around him now, and its crazy how much he's changed since the last time I saw him. He's now helping the missionaries in El Salvador teach his daughters, and he has a calling in the Sunday school presidency. He's so awesome!!

We went to Chick-fil-A with one of our recent converts this week, and he basically told us that he loves money more then the church and that he started going to parties and drinking again. Another on of our recent converts told us that follow the 2 greatest commandments was complicated. We're not really sure what to do with them..

Good news though... our friend Liliana is getting baptized on thursday!! She is so sweet! Yesterday we went with her to watch another baptism so she knew what it would be like, and after she saw it she said she was scared. I told her that feeling in her chest that she had was from the spirit telling her that she is making the right choice, and she smiled and said, "I think so!"

We have also been teaching our friend Susan for a long time now, she is so ready to get baptized any day now, but she just needs to get married and she's waiting to get her passport so she can get married. Last night we went over to review the baptismal interview questions with her and we asked her if she was willing to make covenants with God and honor them the rest of her life. She threw her arms up in the air, and said, "YESS!!" She is so excited to get baptized, I'm praying that she gets married soon so she can!!

Other highlights:

-our air conditioning got turned on!!

-got chased by a man high on something

-my comp made really yummy cookies

We have transfers this week, so I'll let you all know what happens next week!

Love you!!
