What a great week!!!
Here are some highlights:
- We had an exchange with Hermanas Curtis and Montalvo. They are both in their third transfer of their mission, so they are so eager to learn and humble to take advice. I love spending time with them.
- Wednesday night we visited our friends Pilar y Beymar. I think they are actually my favorite people I have ever taught on my mission. They have a five year old daughter with autism, and they have so much love for each other. They didn’t come to church the last 2 Sundays because something came up both times, but beymar promised us that, "Third times a charm." We taught them the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and they believed all of it. They even asked us when we could stop by next to talk more about it. They don't even have a baptismal date yet, but I know they will get baptized and sealed in the temple!!
- We have new mission presidents!! President and Sister Mac-Phearson, and they are from Utah. I am sad that the Crankshaws are gone, but I'm excited for what's to come in the mission!!
- MLC!! My fourth Mission leadership counsel as STL, and it was great!! I learned a lot about the covenants that I have made in the temple and how that brings me spiritual power. I also loved seeing my old comps too <3
- English Class - Pilar and Beyamr came to English class, and so did our other friend Olga, and our recent convert Liliana (they are all from Bolivia haha) it was a fun class, and we showed them all the chapel afterwards. They all promised to come to church on Sunday!!
- Saturday was a great day! We went to a work out class at the church in the morning, and at night we had a book of Mormon class! It was our first time ever doing it, I had the idea to do it during weekly planning, and it was really successful!! Liliana invited her cousins and we had two other friends there and some other members. I love teaching people about the book of Mormon.
- Sunday was stressful in the morning, because none of our friends answered us when we called them to confirm that day. We went to church and Liliana and Susan were there with their cousins, but none of other other friends showed up. I was so worried about Pilar and Beymar, because they PROMISED that they would come. I said a prayer and asked God to work a miracle. Not because of the numbers of how many friends we had in church, but because I know that Pilar and Beymar have been prepared, and I want to helped them be sealed together as a family. I decided to stop looking behind my shoulder and to leave it in Gods hands. After the meeting was over, I stood up and looked behind me and Milton, Pilar and Beymar, and Olga were all there. Beymar waved to me, and as I went over to shake his hand he said (with sass) "I told you we would come." I love them so much.
After church was over I went to talk to them while my comp was talking to some other friends, and I introduced them to our friend Milton (who got baptized a few weeks ago) they were surprised to hear how fast he got baptized, but then Pilar said, "I think we will get baptized too." Beymar respond with, "yeah probably, but maybe we need a little bit more time." I was shocked to hear that, and I told them that we will help them prepare for baptism. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!
Anyways it was a great week, I love this area so much, and it makes me sad to think that I probably can't stay here for the rest of my mission, but I will make the best out of the time I have left here.
GOD IS SO GOOD!!! He has everything planned out so perfectly and he is always there for us.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
