Hola hola!!
This is the first week of transfer 9.... and I'm staying here in Annandale with hermana Asay!!! Im so excited for my fourth transfer here, and I know that God has so many great things prepared for me here!!
I forgot to send out an email last week.. not much crazy happened, but we were helping our friend Milton prepare for his baptism!!
Some highlights for this week~
Monday: On Monday we had a GREAT lesson with Milton. We talked about Prophets, the sacrament, the commandments, temples, and lots of other things. Milton is one of the smartest people I have taught, he understands so well and has so many great questions. We felt very confident after this lesson that he is prepared for his baptism!!
Tuesday: We had a departing conference for our mission president and his wife. It's really sad that they are leaving, but I'm excited to see what ideas and new things our new mission president is going to implement!! We also had our last exchange with the other hermanas in our zone, I love them they are so cute<3
Wednesday: Last district council of the transfer!!! Me and my comp were excited for this transfer to end because we had 2 emergency transfers in our district and the other elders that left there didn't really talk to us at all lol. Was not the most fun district, but things are already looking better this transfer!
Thursday: Milton got baptized!!! We did a lot of preparation and put things together last minute, but everything went well. Milton showed up late to his baptism, which really stressed me out lol. We went outside a few times to see if he was there (he rides his bike to church) and I decided to say a prayer with my comp outside infront of the church to ask God to help him come. Literally seconds after I finished the prayer, he comes zooming past on his bike and says, "holaaaaaa" It was so crazy to see how God answered my prayer immediately. God is so good, and everything else went really well in his baptism. After he was baptized he got up to share his testimony, and he asked if he could pray in his baptism. I've never had a baptism with a prayer done in the middle of the service, but I think it needs to become a thing. The spirit was so strong.
Friday: I don't remember what happened Friday, but we went to IHOP.
Saturday: We had a service project outside for 7 hours straight in 100 degree weather. It sounds terrible, and I almost threw up from dehydration afterwards, but it was so fun!!! I got to see all of my old comps and missionary friends, and we helped so many people in need get food, toys, and other essentials. I love being able to serve others:)
Basically this week was really busy, but I am so grateful for all of the tender mercies from God, and I know that he is doing this work with me. I'm so excited for wha'ts to come!!
Love you all!!
