This week has been so long, but so good!! Monday started out being rainy and cloudy which is the best thing ever considering we don't have any air conditioning and it's been in the 90° most of the time we've been here. I'm so grateful to be here in Mexico!! Everyday I look around and am amazed at the beauty of this campus!
On Tuesday, it was the 10th anniversary of the CCM, and we had the opportunity to listen to two devotionals that day from to guys who work for the missionary department who flew down from Utah!
I always say this, but my district is the best ever!! I'm so lucky that I've been blessed with such a a good group of friends here, and we are all really close. Maybe sometime to close lol....
The elders in my district were really sick yesterday with food poisoning (we don't know what its from but were guessing it was from the weird looking ham lol) Anyway, they were in the bathroom yesterday for hours yesterday, and even though i felt bad for them, I could've gone without hearing about the details of their experience haha.
One of my favorite things about the CCM, is how they have a little tienda that we can buy snacks from after class. We made it a tradition now that after every class we get a little treat/snack from the store. I don't know what I would do without that lol.
Spanish is coming along, but its also really frustrating. I feel like I have so much to say and teach in English, but when I try to translate it I feel like a 5 year old speaking Spanish. I just need keep on trying though cause I know eventually it'll get easier.
I love this gospel! Recently in my personal studies I've been reading in Mosiah and I love this scripture: "For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticing's of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."
I know that as I try my best and humble myself before God he will help me with all of my endeavors. I love this gospel soooo much, and the joy and peace that it gives me. I cant wait to get out in the field soon and teach it to others!!
