Week 27: Alexandria, VA

 Hola!! Feliz (almost) Navidad!!

This week was really long, I'm not really sure what happened but somehow we are only a week away from Christmas.

On Tuesday, we had exchanges and it was super fun! I'm excited to be in another zone with new people and places.

Wednesday we had district council, and the ZLs were in charge of the practice that we did. They made a whole game of learning to work with members out of Pokémon cards and it was really funny haha.

We are teaching this 8 year old named Leah and she is so cute!! She is getting baptized in January, but we were really stressed out if her and her mom would come to church on Sunday. After texting and calling her mom with no response, we'd given up hope. But then we got a text right before church from her seeing that they were going to come!! God really is a God of miracles, and he works in so many small and simple ways.

Me and my companion have been struggling to feel motivated lately, and last night was downpouring with rain and we just felt like blah. But then we decided to say a prayer for direction l, and the first thing that popped in to our heads was what were needed to do. After thinking for 3 seconds, we both said that we should go outside in the rain and knock some doors. So we went out in the pouring rain and did it. We didn't find anyone, and it wasn't the most successful, but we tried, and we acted, and that is the most that God can ask from us. We ended up having a really fun night in the rain too:)

God is soo God. He always listens. He cares<3

Love you all!
