Weeks 1 and 2: Home MTC and Mexico MTC!

 Hola!!

This week has been super busy and has gone by so fast that I barely even remember everything that happened so we'll see how this goes haha.

Last week I had home MTC, where I met my companion (who's the best), my district and my teachers. Home MTC was good and I learned a lot, but being in Mexico, in person, is soo much better.

I first met my companion here Hermana Davis and my district on the first day and they are all so awesome! Everyone has such strong sweet testimonies!!

The first day was so crazy and busy and I was running on less than 2 hours of sleep, but we got to meet the CCM president, and we had a great devo from a member of the quorum of the seventies.

The campus here is beautiful, it has so many trees and flowers and birds, but it also has lots of bugs. I also just learned that a bug in Spanish is bicho, which I think describes them perfectly hahaha.

It's also super hot cause our apartment has no AC or a fan so it's just hot air sitting in our apartment always. But I think it adds to the experience.

It's crazy how much I've learned since being here! Last night, me and my roommates made a goal to only speak in Spanish for the whole night, and we were able to do it and actually understand each other!! It was so awesome and gave me some confidence in my Spanish skills haha.

I've also learned so much about the Doctrine of Christ and what our purpose as missionaries is. I've been reading a lot of 2 Nephi 31-33 and I totally recommend re-reading those chapters if you have a chance, they are SO powerful.

Also my teachers are the best!! My Spanish teacher in the morning is Hermano Rodrigez, who is the funniest guy ever. That class is always so entertaining, and even though it's 3 hours long, it goes by so fast. My afternoon teacher is Hermana Sánchez, who is such a good teacher! Whenever she teaches, I feel the spirit so strong and learn things I've never thought or knew about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Anyways... Life is so good right now!! Super tiring and a lot of hard work, but it's all worth it when I think about my purpose and what I'm doing this for.

Love you all!!!
