Week 31: Alexandria, VA

 ¡Hola a todos!

I always say I don't remember what happens In the week... but it's true! Time Flys by so fast as a missionary that it just all kinda blends in to one giant week haha.

The weather has been getting colder here in Northern Virginia, and we've been experiencing lota of power outages in our apartment complex. One happened when I was in the shower which was fun, but the worst was when we were on the elevator and the lights turned of and it started to drop a little bit. It only lasted around 30 seconds but I was glad to be alive after that lol.

I'm feeling so much more confident in my spanish recently! I notice myself speaking in spanish without even thinking, and I've really been able to connect with our amigos more and ask more inspired questions. Spanish is such an awesome language.

On Saturday, we had a devotional de la música in our ward, and our friend Eglin (yes that's his real name. Yes I can't say it without laughing) came! He's been having really hard stuff happening in his family, and when we first saw him he said he was feeling really bad, but he still came to the devo. The devotional went really good, and me and the other hermanas in our ward did a musical number too! After we left, we got a voice message from our friend Eglin and he said that he hasn't felt that much peace in a long time. He said he left the devotional feeling so much joy and peace.

Being a missionary is so awesome because we get to help people like Eglin feel even a little bit of peace in their hard lives. I'm so grateful to be here, and everyday I know that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be, and where I am needed, even I it is really hard sometimes.

I love you all!! There is always peace in Christ!
