Hola a todos!!
Happy thanksgiving!!
This week was stressful in the beginning because we didn't have any plans for Thanksgiving, but our DL pulled some strings and we ended up going over to a members house! It was good, but definitely different then good old American Thanksgiving haha.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving though was when we went too old town! Old town is a part of our area that is historical, and it's right on the river. You can also see the DC capital from across the river. It was really pretty and we walked around and did some studies there.
Also, another thing that happened on Thanksgiving, we were sitting in Starbucks working on some content (I'm the social media specialist for my mission) and this old guy with a long beard came up to us and gave us 100 dollars, then walked away before we were able to say anything. It was super random and we were really confused... but Christmas miracle?
We had a ward party on Saturday which was fun, we sat at a table with a bunch of recent converts, and they were all so nice! I'm really excited to get to know more people in this ward.
Yesterday, we stopped by a members house and she told us her life story. She has such a strong testimony, but her situation is hard because her husband is inactive, and her kids are not super interested in the church, and she is really struggling with that. It just made me even ore grateful for my family and my parents and all that they have taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ. And how I have the strong foundation in my home. I am so grateful for my family<3
Nothing else super crazy going on, I hit my 6 months next week which is exciting!! I also love all of the pretty Christmas lights here.
God loves you all so much!! I love you all!!!
